Hey guys:
I just moved to a place with a 20 year old  automatic garage door opener. But un fortunatley My owners manual is missing the page that explains How to program/calibrate the 3 buttons at the top of my windscreen just below the cabin light. So that I can use them to open this garage door .. If anybody has any insights  lemme know .

Thanx

Start the trk, have the garage door remote control in hand. Make sure that it works.
Press and hold buttons #1 and #3 at the same time until the red light stays lit. Choose which # button you want to control your garage door. Point the garage remote at the Homelink unit and press both buttons at the same time and hold them down until the red light blinks 3 times. You should be good to go after that. It may take several tries.
You can program upto 3 different remotes. I have two programmed.
Hope this helps.

Ok kewl thanks spike .. But just to make sure i understand you here. after i press buttons 1 and 3 at the same time and hold till the (GREEN)light stays green..I then decide wich button I want to open the door and ??Then release buttons 1 and 3 and press the sellected button that i have chosen? And then ? press both buttons 1 and 3 again while pointing and pressing the garage remote at the homelink unit?

If you could give me a detaiel order of operation, breaking down the whole thing in detail that would be awsome!
Thanx again

On my trk the light on the Homelink is red...press and hold button 1 and 3 until the light stays lit.
Release those buttons.
Point the garage remote at the Homelink unit while the light is still lit.
Press the button on the garage remote and the button on the Homelink unit at the same time until the light ont the Homelink goes out, release both buttons. I believe that when you are pressing the garage remote and Homelink button that the light will flash 3 times to confirm that it worked.
Then you are good to go.
Try that, if you still cant get it to work tommorrw after work I can scan the page from my owners manual and post it. Try the other first.
I would do it right now but my son and I are saving the world right now. We have to kill all the bad guys and resuce some important dude.

If your garage door opener has the test button on it, you need to push it down, and then press the # button you programmed on your disco till the door responses.
