I need some help.  I have this smell in my car that seems like it is anti freeze that is disapating.  It is either exhaust or something, that appears to be coming through the vents. Basically, if i drive 5 minutes, my clothes smell etc.  I took it to the mechanic and he couldnt find any leaks in the cooling system. Evidently there is a small radiator under the glove box, but he said that was not leaking. I really don't know what it could be, but my wife is bugging about the smell.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Scott

Go take it to some one other then the one you have already tried and have a standard coolant pressure test performed, this will help a good mechanic find your coolant leak.

Thanks, very much appreciated, can you recommend a mechanic in the Costa Mesa/Irvine area?

Even a good radiator shop can do this test.
Let me know the results.

leaking heater core o-ring seals are common and will not always show up with a coolant pressure test! Look under the pass side of the center console area, for visable small leaks.
