I am new to this forum.  Trying to help a friend that has a 1995 with EAS problems.  The car is down on the stops.  The compressors runs for awhile (less than a minute when the key is turned on).  The car does not raise.  The tailgate glass is not functioning.  I cannot open the glass tailgate as it will not unlock on the passenger side.  The latch on the driver side releases but will not lock when closed.  My understanding is the EAS will not function if a door or the tailgate is open.  Any ideas that I might try?  I know very little about these vehicles and even less about the EAS.  Thank you for any and all help.

Thanks for the link.  I will see what I can do with this unit.  The owner is ready to sell it as is.  Anyone interested?

Yeah, replace it with coil springs.  Then your friend will have one less worry.  Depending on the problem, this will be a cheaper and all around better fix for the vehicle, something that you do not need a mechanic for.
