Well I checked the Power steering and A.C.E. fluid level with the engine not running and they are both right at or just below the MIN line. Do I just put plain old power steering fluid in both tanks? Or is there some special fluid that goes in the A.C.E.? And do you think why the light has been flashing every once in a while?

Yes it takes just plain old power steering fluid that you can buy from AutoZone or Wal-Mart.
And yes that could be why the light was coming on, the fluid level was to low.
As for the rear HVAC, there should be controls in the back seat for that. If they are turned off then no air will come out.
A common problem with rear HVAC units is that the heater core that it runs off of goes bad and so people just have the system unhooked because it is such a expensive repair. You have to tear the roof apart to fix it.

Thanks for the info.

Another thing is that I have been hearing a trickleing of water sound every now and then seemingly from the passenger side of the truck. Is there need to be worried?

Well, it only comes on every now and then and when I turn the truck off and restart it goes away. I didn't know there was ACE fluid. Please let me know how and where to check.  This is my first Land Rover and it didn't come with a owners manual.

On a side note, I couldn't get heat to the rear vents tonight. I havn't figured out how the controls work.  Anyone care to elaborate on it for me.

Hi, you can view your owners manual from Land Rover online here,
it's just a case of selecting your vehicle year and type

Maybe you need to be worried. Check your coolant level, if it is low top it off, if the coolant is pink than you MUST use DexCool, you cannot mix DexCool with anything else.
The sloshing that you are hearing is air in the cooling system because it is low.
It would be wise to get the cooling system flushed, LR recommends doing that every 3 years or 45,000 miles, whichever is first. If you dont know when it was done than get it done now.

the coolant level is low. I cannot tell what color it is. Can I just add water for now until i can get the system flushed?

How long before you are going to get it flushed? This week? Then yes it is OK to add tap water. If it is going to be a couple of weeks then no, you cannot use tap water.
You can check the color of your coolant by taking a clean drinking straw and sticking it in the coolant tank and putting your finger over the end of the straw to suck some coolant out, put it into a Dixie cup and see what color it is.
Or if you have a old turkey baster you can do it that way too. Just make sure that you throw everything away so that nobody uses it and dies. Washing it isint enough, it must be thrown out.
Once you completly flush the system you can use whatever coolant you want.

Well I guess I am going to try to flush my cooling system myself.  Would anyone care to provide instructions. I am going to do a search, but a second opinion is always good.
