Hi all Land Rover lovers, my name is Alan and I have just bought my first Land Rover It's a 90 series Land Rover county 2.5 litre diesel, It's 20 years old and seen a lot of miles and still a very good runner.... I've had the gearbox overhauled and I have fitted a reconditioned powered steering box, but still have a lot of play in the steering, I have been told I can adjust the box and take the play out could anybody tell me how to do this.....I've always wanted to own a Land Rover and at the age of 58 I have got my wish....It still needs some work done inside, but I have plenty of free weekends,

theres a stud on the top side with i believe a 5/8 ths nut around it on the steering box. The stud has a alln key slot in it on top. loosen the nut and slowly run the stud (via allen key) down araund a 1/4 turn then try driving it be carefull that the steering wheel returns to center after turns if it doesnt then your too tight
