WHY???????????????????
What are you using the truck for. In all the Rover clubs, I am currently in or have been in, I can't say I have ever seen anyone do this.

Well,i could only figure that with the tower being two inches lower ,it would give you a 2 inch lift,it looks more heavy duty.i just cant see the need for the twin shock set-up.The only reason i ask is because i couldnt find anyone talking about it before.
So disco mike, i take it you think there junk, any reason why?

lowering the shock mounts wont lift the vehicle.  if the shocks dont bottom out with the lowered mounts under full compression, i dont see anything wrong with it.  a better way to get more drop out of the shocks would be with longer shocks like bilstein 7100s.

Do you know the travel on those?Could i use them with just 2 inch over springs,or would the shocks be overkill at that point?
