Both of my back windows quit working at the sime time in my 96 disco. No bad fuses anyone have any ideas as to what this could be. I dont have to have them working but if it breaks I try to get everything fixed and in good working order. My back sunroof also wanted to jump off of track a little when I closed it last how do you grease it up or can I do that? Thanks for all of you guys help you all really know your stuff.

Do they screw up at the switches at the center console or at the rear door switches...or both?

Your windows stopped because your BECU has a cracked circuit board, hind of common on the older D1's.
As for the sun roof, you need to open it carefully, use the manual opener, once open, if nothing is bent, clean and lube all the slides and tracks. This should be done at least once a year if you want to keep them working.

I believe that it has been addressed on here before with pics, try doing a search and see what comes up.
I am not sure where the window ECU is but it does crack at a solder point, it is a easy fix once you find the ECU.
All you need to do is find the crack and then resolder it. No need to buy a new one.

HA, found it.
www.discoweb.org, go to the "tech" section, on the left is a list of tech tips, find the "rear window" tech tip, it even has pictures.
