Hey fellas, Quick question, I noticed just right now that the metal part of my shift gear lever gets really hot after just a few minutes of driving! By the way, the truck is automatic. Is this normal and juat a cause of the bulb that illuminate the shifting gear ( p,r,d,123)?

Check your transmission fluid level and condition. While you're under there check your x-fer case fluid too for good measure. The transmission does generate heat, so some heat is normal but do check that fluid.
