For a while I thought my radio sounded a little dull.  The clarity and depth of the sound was just not there.  I took the LR3 in for th 45K service and I was given a 2007 LR3 loaner.  The radio sounded so much better than mine.  I called and asked the service rep to listen to my radio and compare it to others.  He called back and said "we checked and found a fault in your radio.  We reloaded the radio software and the radio sounds much better".  When I picked it up, he was right.  The sound is much, much better.  More volume, more depth, and more clarity.  I am posting this so other LR3 owners who might think their radio just does not sound exactly right, might want to ask your service rep to check the radio for any kind of "fault" and ask that the software be reloaded.

they had an issues with the wrong equalizer file being installed in the amp, seeing as how there are 3 different systems, it can screw with the sound alot. but yeah, alll fixed with a simple tune download
