I use mid grade. In Colorado, that's 87 octane. I've never put in 85. It'll make your engine knock. I used premium once (91). Lost a few MPGs.

Stay away from Acetone if you don't want to build up some long term expensive problems. Use on high octane, 87 is not mid grade in most states it is considered to be regular. For what you save at the pump, you will loose in MPG and decarbong and or replacing your valves.
