Hello everyone,

A few months ago I was reading some threads with various members looking for center consoles for their RRC. That got the wheels turning. My father owns an 1988 Range Rover Classic and was also in need of a center console to replace the long since gone original in his truck. Over the holiday weekend I put together this console here. It is much stronger than the original console and it was designed for him to use all of his existing parts like switches and shifter bezels, I just wanted to show you all here and see what you think. Any input is welcome.

Thanks,

Shawn

surprised at the lack of responses on this thread...looks like solid work.  I'm not sure what the original unit is supposed to look like but you did a fine job on the one you made.

unstable,

Thanks for the kind words. I posted this on various forums and on one in particular I have attracted quite a bit of attention. I will most likely be building a few more of these in the near future.

Thanks again for the support,

Shawn

It looks like an excellent piece of craftsmanship. Some photos of it installed should be posted next.

Cheers,

Pete

A few months have gone by and I have worked out a new design that is a much more durable. There has been quite a bit of interest in this recently and I wanted to post a few updates.
I am going to start finishing these later today and will post updates of my progress.

Thanks,
Shawn Jones
