Wecome to the LR Club!!! Sorry to hear you Rolled the Vitara, I owned a grandVitar New in 1999, never lifted it but wheeled it stock up in the Snow and it was a decent driving truck. Back in 1999 it was the quietest, best drive mini SUV out. I came from a 1995 Mitsubushi Montero SR with a 2" lift, and sofar my dealings with the 02 disco specially the mechanical part have been a good experence, the Discovery is so much easer to work on,compared to the mitusubishi.

Yea the vitara was incredible! So was my samurai, but my toyota was the best sofar and Im hoping the D2 will treat me well as I will treat it great in return :) Cant seem to find a repair manual for it though........ if I order the manual for the D1 will I be far off? This whole V8 thing I am loving!!!!! where I live some of the trips through the Fraser Canyon can be hell with no horse power (vitara) I think its called the discovery because it takes a few days to discover what all the funny little options and switches are.
