This is my first ever post at any forum period, so forgive my lack of "posting skills."
My ''04 Disco, fresh out of warranty is suddenly running rough and using vast amounts of gas, and I mean vast just to go short distances.
Not a great series of events with gas being $4 a gallon.
I ran some gasoline conditioner thru it (thinking injectors might be clogged) and no change.
Any ideas out there?

How many miles on it, do you have a check engine light on if so what are the codes?
When was it last tuned?

thanks Mike
umm,
it has done 53k.
by the look of the maintenance schedule there has been no tuning yet.
Yes check engine light is on - concincidentally with the rough idle/running and huge consumption of gas (maybe 8 mpg)
I have no codes, I need to purchase a code reader/scanner, do you have any suggestions as to make an model.

If your check engine light is on, you have codes, go to your local auto parts store and have them test it for free and get back to us with the 4 digit fault code numbers.

Hey Mike
I have replaced the plug wires, the coil packs and the plugs and still have a misfire on 2.
Could it be the injector?
many thanks
glenn
