Does anyone know if I can legally import a Defender 110 pick-up current model into Canada? The Defender is no longer available in Canada. Transport Canada has not been of any help and it''s their job to inform me if its Canadian Certified. I am thinking of importing from Germany and currently trying to contact a dealer in Germany. A friend of mine knows German so he can navigate the site.

Best check with the state you plan to register it in and go from there.
How old a truck are you wanting to bring in?

Its not possible, as the Defender doesent meet the safety requirements.  I have already done the research on this one.

i think you might be able to bring one in, and not license it, if you want it for private property this would work.

Sort of.

What you need to do is import an older one, then swap parts until you''ve got a new one. This is not cheap but it is the only way. If you do it over a period of time it can be seen as regular maintenance as well.
