Greetings everyone. I have a very quick question that I could not answer after doing a brief search. My "new to me" 06 HSE headlights used to do a brief "dance" in unison when first turned on. It used to last about 2-3 seconds before settling to a level beam. It no longer does this, and I couldn''t find any mention of this in the operators guide. Can someone give me some insight as to why this happens, and for me at least, why it has stopped doing this??? Thanks very much in advance.

I''ve got no clue. I''ll try it tonight. If the lights don''t turn with the wheel, I''ll give the dealership a buzz. Thanks very much.

I love that little "ballet."

My ''05 seems to be on a random cycle of various startup dances when I turn on the lights.  Sometimes they just come on, sometimes they do a little dance, sometimes they do a different dance.

But, they definitely don''t do the same thing every time or even do it every time.  FWIW.

I''m glad I''m not going insane! I was going to let this thread die, but I keep wondering why my headlights have stopped doing this. I took it to my dealer (for a number of small warranty issues) and they told me they (xenons) were fine. They still turn w/ my steering wheel, but the start up routine is different EVERY TIME I turn them on!!!

hmmm... thats weird I know that initial dance they do for the first 2-3 seconds is just them calibrating, There are instances when our jaguar does this... sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn''t but i''ve never figured it was a problem

I'' ve given up. The dealer says it''s OK, even though they always just turn on, and then aim straight forward w/ no movement....
