i know, i know.. most of you would say do it the right way and get the OME springs and shocks and not the spacers, but one of the reasons i''m asking is the price difference. not all of us LR owners are affluent. Toddco Suspension is offering a spacer lift kit for $154.95 and an OME HD kit from Atlantic British costs $679.95. im not really planning on going through rough trails and rocks, and i''m gonna be using it more often on paved roads. but i would like to raise it a bit and put bigger tires. just need everyone''s input, and maybe that could help me decide what set up to go for (of course considering the cost and the purpose of the Disco.) oh, and also, i was wondering how hard it is to install either one of these set ups on the truck. i''m planning to do it myself with some help from the mechanics at the auto hobby shop inside military bases.

The main problem with all old Disco suspensions is that theyadd to the top heavy effects of the Disco and adding spacers to an already weak suspension makes for a pretty unstable ride. Save your money and replace the coils and shocks when you can, you will be far safer and happier with going this way. If you want to save some money, buy a used set of OME coils with new OME shock, this will save you about $250 and still give you a greatyly improved ride.

Perfect. Thanks Mike. You know where I can acquire the OME''s for a decent price? And how hard is the install? Or how much hours for labor should I expect from a Rover specialist?
