everytime we you turn the steering wheel full left or right (mostly right) there is a horrid groaning sound, like creekeing, this also happend one whilst coming of the curb, but the sound is very worrying, any ideas ?

Randy Lover, I think that I have the same noise. I hear it only when turning it to the right, especially coming out of a parking spot requiring more than one full turn of the wheel. If I turn it very slowly it doesn't make the noise. I haven't investigated this fully yet, but to me it sounds like a dry steering column bushing or something. That's not very worrying, unless your hearing something coming from under the hood.

I'll let you know the fix for this when I take a closer look. (But it's cold here, and motivation is lacking).

Daniel

yes it happens mostly with a full right lock, but it sounds like its coming from below the car, like the wheels. so we are gonna take it back on saturday anyway so if they find out ill tell you

Hello All,
As a newbie to this site and a LR owner wannabe for now,I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday !!!! As an auto mechanic myself,I may have a suggestion to try: Apply a little grease (wheel bearing grease) on the turn stops on each of the front spindles (steering knuckles). They should be easy to see because the road dirt will be rubbed off leaving a shiny spot,or just turn the wheels
all the way and look for a point of contact. This has worked for me many times. If I understood the post correctly, this should help !!!
Good Luck !!!! Ed

btw nux we got that problem sorted.
a spot weld had snapped of on the under body chassis. it was just a strengthining device and when the wheels were turning it was scraping against the side of its housing therefore making a screeching noise
