Has anyone investigated using the air suspension compressor as an auxiliary air pump? Crawling around under my '05 HSE it appears there is a large (air?) tank inboard of the of the left rocker. Before I would drill and tap for an air fitting, I would like to know:

1. How much pressure is the pump able to develop? 60psi should be enough.
2. Can the pump run for 15 minutes without a rest?
3. Would this mess with the electronics? Think; the pump runs to compensate for low pressure in the tank, there is no corresponding increase in ride height, the system shuts down to save the compressor.

I had an ARB pump on my '02DII (lost to flooding from hurricane Wilma) and found it to be the most valuable and frequently used accessory I have ever installed on a vehicle. The pump was mounted under hood, aft of the battery box. It was switched from the dash with a re-labeled cruise-control switch. I routed a hose down the frame rail to the hitch receiver and terminated with a quick disconnect.

If teh air compressor runs too long youwill get an error message on the information screen onteh dash that says the compressor is overheated please wait.

Take the car all the way up and down about 3 times and you will see the message.

If Rover set up the specs. for the air system on the LR# like they did on there past vehicles, they can't make enough air pressure or volumn and they will burn up their pump. Need to look at other options.
