Strange Engine Noise 2004 Disco - 8/18/2008 6:27:35 AM    nashville rookie   Posts: 5 Joined: 5/8/2008 Status: offline      I am experiencing what I believe to be an issue with my Disco.  It only has 39K miles on it and a strange noise has developed.  When accelerating under 2K RPM, the engine noise in the cabin gets louder.  The sound coming from the engine reminds me of a sewing machine.  I don’t necessarily hear any knocking but the engine sounds like an old tired engine.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?
