I have a 2004 Disco II SE with 50K miles. I have the LR certified warranty for about another 2 yrs or until 75K. The truck has been at the dealer a few for a few minor problems.  Last time at the dealer, they said that they could extend the warranty. If so, for how many yrs/miles. Is it worth it?

Thanks.

No.
What have they fixed so far? How much would it have cost you? Compare that to the cost of the warrenty. If the warrenty cost''s $2000 and the repairs cost $500 then you would have lost money.
If the repairs were $7000, then you made out, or got a bad trk.
The smart money is to save your money and fix it at your own expense. If you open a money market account you can pay for major repairs out of that. If you dont need any major repairs then you have that much more money for retirement. If you cannot afford to put $2000 into the account right away then open it with $100 and then make payments to yourself.
Most, not all, but most extended warrenties are a waste of money.

I agree with Spike, I would recommend a warranty if you were buying a vehicle you do not know. But since you already own that vehicle and you still have warranty for 2 years, this should be way more than enough for what ever has to come up...well... does! Even if it gets to be a head gasket problem, it would cost you less than extending the warranty. And if you have rebuilt the front driveshaft with greasable u-joints at the double cadran, you eliminate a disaster and have one less thing to worry about.

Thanks guys. I guess I will save my money.

Spike. Repairs so far all covered under original new car warranty. Both headlights with condensation replaced, front sunroof motor replaced, horn broke.

Ok, the headlights you could have fixed yourself without replacing them.
As far as the sunroof and horn, propbally would have had to have a shop do it.
Now I realize that this doesnt matter right now, but for in the future. Most things are easy and DIY repairs. If you are half way mechanical anyway.
