Has anyone added the second battery on an LR3? I see the compartment on the rear right that seems to be setup for a second one.

Whats needed, and is there really a benefit?

Im guessing that would be for the TDI (diesel) model not sold yet in the USA. I know that diesel pickups have two batteries (dodge ram, etc..)

To install a second battery you would need a dual battery isolator typically found in super high power car audio system and RV''s. This would charge both batteries but keep them separately charged by the alternator. Not sure if our LR3''s are pre wired for it though.
