Hey all, I''m Jim.

Southern Ontario (Canada), fat, single, slighly insane, and love tinkering with vehicles. Never owned a Land Rover before although I''ve always admired the old safari style - Model 80 I think they were called?

I''m an electronics nerd by day and build post apocalyptic vehicles in my spare time - my current project is a Grumman P-30. My kitchen is (I swear) a welding and fab shop. Hey, that''s what take out is for.

I originally thought that I might end up just hitting and running here; I posted a few (Wonderfully answered I might add - thank you) questions about the Discovery as I found one that really caught my fancy and was wondering if i should buy it.

Well, as it turns out I''m in good graces with the bank and I''m sitting at work just waiting to put my Jim Vicious on the dotted line, when I''ll be the proud owner of a ''97 Disco. Cool.

So it would seem that I''ll be hanging around after all, hopefully eventually being able to contribute as much as getting help.

''Till then, thanks for having me
