Would you trade your Land rover product for the new Jeep Commander?

YES, because Land rovers are junk and Jeeps are superior in every way.

Yes, because I just don't like my Land Rover anymore.

Yes, because comparing apples to apples, the Commander's just better.

Maybe. Only if a horridly obese woman came with the deal.
  0% (0)
Hmmm. Love my LR and all, but it's just getting tired.
  0% (0)
No, because I'm from England, and overly bias.

Got a new poll here. What does everybody think of the new Jeep Commander? Without the opportunity to sell it after, would you trade your Land Rover product for a JEEP COMMANDER?

What does everybody think of the new Jeep Commander? This afternoon, some guy driving a Commander parked beside my Disco and came up to me jokingly asking "Hey! You wanna trade?" He was sporting quite a smug attitude. I replied "Naw I don't think so, I already have a car (Jetta) and I own this (Disco) because it's a truck, to do TRUCK stuff". He just smiled and walked away with his horridly obese lady-friend.

I have to say though, it's not as ugly in person as it looks the commercials. At first I thought it was a Mercedes Geländewagen G500 (which I really like). But as curiosity forced me to look closer, I noticed it was just a jeep product. I know nothing about them really, but I wouldn't trade my Disco for a Jeep, ever. I just assume it's competition for the silverado, err I mean Hummer H2.

Happy voting.

Daniel

Not trying to be sexist but, is it just me that notices a greater percentage (like 80/20) of Jeep drivers are female? Or, maybe Chrysler HAS noticed this? Hence the lack of a true Off-road machine, geared for a more feminine market? lol

...i'm just in one of those moods, ya know?

Landzu, you know what they say "Great minds think alike". hehe

My Jetta isn't a TDI, but I wish my Disco was, definitely in the soon future. My Jetta is a heavily modified summer toy (2L 16v supercharged, AWD syncro system). The Discovery and Jetta are my rolling laboratories.

I can't do anything else to my TDI its all done.
Chip, large injectors, turbo, upsolute FMIC,Eibach.SSR wheels
well you get the pic. its a 03 with 75000 miles & I'am on
my 5th tank of fuel. Well almost.
The Disco I think will get the expedition treatment soon
it's about 1/2 done for that.

Nice Landzu! From what my buddies tell me, some chips alone will get you close to 200lb of torque at 3500 rpm on the 1.9 tdi's (true?). I'm running a distributorless standalone system, M90 eaton supercharger with water/air IC, MSD individual coil packs. eibach springs w/bilstein coil overs and of course, the syncro (still the viscous coupler for now) system to help it hook up.

Don't say your TDI is done. You didn't say if you had a water/air intercooler yet? If not then maybe you should contact me. Hehe. MMMm, nice dense air. Mine is configured to go below ambient on special occasions. Did you say, Expedition treatment? Oh, I don't care much for Ford products, even though LR is owned by them now. Glad my Disco was built under the strict German whip of BMW. (here we go, another pissing match?)

Were gonna get in trouble from the Moderators for Dubbing on the LR site...
