What is the best suspension to get for a Disco 1. I have a 96 with stock suspension and was looking to put a 3'''' lift on it. What, for the cost, is the best system to buy?

You''ll need at least $1400 just for the parts if you do a 3" lift.  That''s not counting shipping and install costs if you can''t do it yourself.  If you go with the basic 2" lift you can get the springs and shocks for about $600.  You can get the OME''s elsewhere for $75/shock.  How much wheelin'' have you done with the stock setup?  I was amazed what I could go through with the BFG''s as my only mod.  I have since added the 2" lift and it has worked great so far.

3" suspension will cost about $2500 USD + shipping+ Home Land Security fees,
you will need new longer drive shafts and Panhard rod ,steering drop arm well you
get the idea.
You can find everything you need in LRM (Land Rover Monthly) magazine
from Scorpion Racing.
This is a good time to get things from the UK ,,,,,,,,1.77USD to a Pound the lowest in over
a year.

I see you are still uncertain about what you are going to do with your truck.
Lifts cost money and if you can''t afford to even replace your failed cat, how do you plan to buy a lift?

sailor-Do your research, ask questions and then make your decision. A informed consumer is the best kind.
You wont know what you need or how hard it is to do if you dont ask questions, and that is what a forum is for, asking questions.
Did you know that you would need new driveshafts? Probally not.
Dont be discouraged, ask away, do what you can when you can.
I reasearched LR''s for 9 months before I bought my truck.
Use Google, this forum and keep asking questions. Its your truck you can do whatever you want to it.
