I have seen few guys that have been able to get the DVD image on the factory NAV screen and was wondering if anyone on here knows where they aquired the module. We have checked with a few people and have hit dead ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have also inquired on this forum regarding this but have had no replies. I have seen several " modules" on E Bay for sale but most have been European companies. I too would appreciate any suggestions.

We actually just got the info we needed, There are a few different options and they are only for the 06 Range Rover. If you have the RR Rear entertainment system then you ahve to send a unit out to have it modded. This costs about 1800 to do. If you do not then you can get a module that will allow you to hook up an external DVD player and play DVD on the NAv screen. The Euro models already do this, the module just reverts it back to Euro thinking. THis module will run you about $2500 retail!!! If you need any additional info let me know.

When TV switches to digital broadcasting solely, will TV tuners be rendered useless?

Hi all, i am from the uk and i have an 06 Range Rover Vogue.

I sourced from the UK a MOST interface which allowed me to hook up a digital TV tuner to my factory screen. The product is excellent with good quality picture.

I got it from my local audio retailer but the company who make the interface is called NAV TV. And there web address is www.nav.tv

Hope this is of some help.

It should be noted that in the UK it is illegal to use the inbuilt screen for TV/DVD use when the vehicle is moving, as the screen is visible to the driver. The nav creen with the DVD option as standard has an interface which detects when the vehicle is moving and turns off the TV/DVD function.
The add on modules may not do this, and you may need to fit something to prevent the screen from working in some states, as I understand some have a similar law. Check in your own area first before you start to make any changes, wouldn't want any of you getting on the wrong side of the law.

To see for youself the car mods and tvs running around in south florida by the most unsavory types of charachters! A small nav screen running in your rover would not cause any problems with any law here in the states as it may be illegal there arent any cops looking to enforce that one apparently. Considering the cars i have seen, they have late model monte carlos with 33" goldspoke rims lifted like a off road truck playin porno on tvs they will never see for the viewing pleasure of the unsuspecting motorist  behind them not to mention the escalades and tahoes that get the full treatment filling every surface with lcds God Bless America!
