have the 97 disco SE. got a service eng. ligght on yesterday and did the major search to prepare for the worst... seems the "codes" i have are not apparent when checked at the obd2 port and is an "oil change needed" type of light???? is there a check engine light that comes on seperately/also when a code is shown? or is the operator at the local autozone crazy? or AM I CRAZY???

The yellow check engine light is on the left side of the dash and is for the OBDII reader. The red service light is on the right side ofthe dash and can be reset by pulling of the lower kick panel on the right side floor board. Its a little box that says emissions on top it will have a small hole if you look inside you will see two little wires with the key on short these wires. I did it with a very small screw driver that will re set it for the next 75K to 82K.
