Hello Everyone,

New Member Here, Old problem.  I need some help with my 98 Freelander please. I had my battery go down and so I recharged it, no problem. Works fine now.  But, I tried to open the rear door and nothing happened!  I can hear the micro switch being activated and the door will open, but the window does not drop 1'' down to allow free access.  I tried holding the button on the key fob for about 30 secs and still nothing!  I tried opening it with the key and you guessed it, nothing!  I have checked all the fuses and nothing has blown.  And, the rear wiper doesn''t work as well! When I push the rear window switch to open, it just beeps.  I removed the battery cables and reconnected and nothing happened. Still the rear window and wiper does nothing!  Can anyone help with any suggestions or a fix please? Thanks!

remove rear tail door inside panel and check power and ground to window motor when door is shut operating window switch. i think you need a window motor/cable assembly.
ps. when LRSUX leaves the standard spam post please flag and send p/m to admin about this requesting his/her removal from forum, thank you.
