Your right witecap4u The ram was preety messed up I guess I said that in contrast with chevy (cough) I mean hummer H2 I also agree with you Disco's are pretty tough. I was rear ended by a 1997 ford Expedition at almost 45 MPH on new year's night. My discovery which is a 1996 SE-7 only had a dented bumper the ford was crush like soda can BULIT FORD TOUGH HUH. when the impact occured It just felt like a gentle thump by the way the driver of the ford was drunk.

The disco has a very solid axle and frame, and look at how beefy the axles are, they are one ton axles, they are much stronger than the truck needs, the lug nuts are one and one sixteenth, about the sam size as a semi's, Now if they thought to make these areas so strong dont you think that the whole vehicle would be strong as well.

Madbilly your right it is a strong vehicle and the frame and axles are very beefy and stout The discovery is just overbulit.
