I just bought a 1996 land rover discovery i find it to be very solid. i'm also trying to find the best lift kit for discovery that will allow it to flex very well without having to pay a large about of money.

3" coils from OME and some extended length shocks will give you the most lift you can get without new drive shaft. shocks and springs should run you around 6-7 hundred bucks. you can go cheap way and get some big bluse from DAP, and some spacers but you articulation will be less.

Does this answer your question about how "tough" the GM Hummer 2 really is?

that ram looks pretty messed up to me.

I do agree though, Disco's are pretty tough. We were sitting in my inlaws F350 crew cab long bed dually diesel and got backed into by a disco in a parking lot. Felt like we got hit by another F350 but looked back and it was a girl in a disco backing out of her parking spot.
