OK - I got my M/Ts today.  I have a set of 19" wheels (from a RR sport I gather) on the Discovery II now.  I can''t get the things off.  I have no idea why but they''re very firmly STUCK in place.

Here''s what hasn''t worked - like not 1 micron of movement:

3 pound hammer.
4'' 2x4
Gear/Wheel puller (can''t get a grip anywhere but I did buy one and try)
Pickle-fork and said hammer trying to wedge the wheel from the rotor

I have the new tires mounted, balanced and ready to go on the original wheels.  I also have the original lugs.  I can only imagine the problem is the wheel interior is stuck on the spindle / outer hub.  Given the situation grinding the wheel off was the next thing that came to mind but I figured I''d stop first and ask for directions.  I''m not sure but I can probably remove the spindle nut and brakes... but then the rotors are probably a loss...  They''re brand new :(

Hit it like you hate it, there is no secret about it. When you reinsatll the wheels, make sure to spray the nub are with some WD40 so it won''t stick again.

Work harder, ot work smarter, it''s up to you.

Go ahead, spend all day trying to bash them off without hurting yourself or the truck, or, get a bottle jack and a piece of pipe. Bolt through the pipe for the jack to work against, block of wood against the rim, place jack against opposite rim and pump the jack. Leave at least one lug nut on the rim you''re not trying to remove and jack the wheels off the hubs.

I wasted MANY hours until I began using my porta-power to remove stuck rims.

Victory!  And the 19''s are off.  Went to Northern Tool.  Bought $7 mallet.  Voila.  Took less than an hour between moving tools, doing one corner at a time, double checking everything, etc.

Found out I''m short two lugnuts.  Gah.

Oh well.  It''s not going to move from the driveway for a while anyhow.

BTW-it was the hub-centrics from the other wheel set causing the issue.  I only destroyed one but it looks like they''re sacrificial anyhow.
