Hello my name is Richard and i am studing Product and Transport Design at Coventry Uni, I am currently writing my Dissertation on the use of 4x4's in the urban environment and was hoping some 4x4 users could answer any questions?

1) What model do you own and what made you choose it?

2) What advantages does your vehicle have?

3) Where do you drive your vehicle? E.G. Rural, Urban etc..?

4) Do you own any othe vehicles? State make and model.

5) What is your age?

Thank you for any reply's.

1. I own a 1996 Land rover Discovery se-7 I chosed the land rover because of the robust strength, ruggedness and superb capability.

2. The advantages of a rover is that they are tall, extremely stout frames ,lightweight yet stiff and strong alloy/steel bodies and very capable without a lot of modifications.

3. I drive my vehicle in a suburban neighborhood and "light off road" and freeway.

4. My discovery is my only vehicle for now I do plan to get a beater car to save gas and miles on my Discovery ( in which I do plan to modify)

5. I'm 19 years old

1. we own a 2003 Discovery XS amd we chose it beacuse of its flexibility, size, strength and of course, beacuse its a land rover

2. the advantages of a rover is that they are very capable in the mud/snow whatever ! and they can do just about anything.

3. my dad drives ours all over the place, everywhere and a bit off light off roading

4. our disco is the only vehicle weve got, our previous ones were a 2001 disco GS and a 97 disco GS

5. im 15. its my dad who drives, but me who loves them

1. i own a 95 discovery. i chos it for its reliability, and also bc i need a 4x4 for my hunting trips. Its is good in snow and its tows well

2. it is a good all around vehicle with prestige, very reliable, the best in stock off road capability. Aluminum will not rust, so it will last forever. Very sturdy build with one ton axles.

3. Currently i drive urban mostly bc im in college, but i take it back to rural Alabama when i go home, also i take it to very remote areas out west for hunting trips.

4. I own a 92 chevy cheyenne 1500 w/t work truck

5. 23 years old
