It has been raining for a few days here in tallahassee, and this morning I woke up to a wet driverside floor in my 05 lr3 (ONLY DRIVERSIDE). I called the dealership and they said that it was probably clogged drain plugs. The problem is that the service department was closed and the saleman didn't know how to locate and unclog these plugs. If anyone could shed some light on my situation I would really appreciate it.

I owned a 2003 Disco HSE and the passenger side floor would flood when it rained. Under the rubber floor mat and carpet would be soaked. I took it in and they had a hard time trying to find the problem. I can't remember exactly what they told me because I have had a lot of cars since then but the Drain plugs may sound familiar. They had to keep calling Land Rover North America for help. It was something that ran down along the windshield and around the door. They had to keep my car for several days but they resolved the problem. My 2004 Disco SE had a bad sunroof leak.

Do you have air con, that is the only drain plug I can think of that might be causing the issue, i.e. rain getting down into the air vents and not draining out but splashing into the footwells..
If that is the case, try looking in te engine bay near the firewall in the air con location, may have to do this from underneath.

My '05 HSE occasionally has water on the drivers side floor mat. If you stick your fingers up under the small triangle of carpetted trim on the inside of the footwell you can feel what I think is the drain tube connection for the AC unit. That small piece of trim likely just "un-snaps" from the center consol. I haven't the courage to figure out just how it un-snaps. Anyone have an idea how to do it?
