I'm close to buying the LR3. One question, that's not that big a deal. Does the CD Player play MP3s? I know about the auxillary port for my iPod, but would love to load 6 CDs with 100 songs apiece.

Mine plays MP3's just fine. Move the MP3's to the CD in data format, 170 songs as MP3's play perfectly! MTB-)

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums and this will be my first post. As far as playing MP3 CDs, it was my understanding that the CD players were different between the V-6, SE, and HSE models. Is it possible that only the higher-end radios will play the MP3 CDs? I have an HSE and the MP3 discs play fine. The iPod port isn't what you may think it is. I know that in some cars (namely, Honda) you can plug in an iPod and transfer its functionallity to the in-dash radio. The plug in the LR3 is simply an auxillary input. Just connect from your MP3 player's headphone jack to the auxillary jack that is located in the compartment above the rear seat cup holders (next to the 12v jack) and select AUX on your radio. You will have to use the controlls on the MP3 player, but it will still play through the car's audio system. I hope this helps. This was actually the first thread that I was able to offer some advice. ~Airboss
